Where has this year gone? We are only a few months away from 7th grade!

MMathMath - We will be reteaching on rates, as we learn about geometry.   

Language - Read. Everyday. 20 minutes. The last book report will be a biography. This is the funnest project this year. 4th Term Biography Puppet report.docx4th Term Biography Puppet report.docx

Writing - We use the program Utah Compose (www.utahcompose.com). Students can edit their papers to improve their scores up until the last day of the term. We will be writing informative essays. The first essay we will write as a class to prepare for the country reports.

Social Studies - We use studies weekly (www.studiesweekly.com) to study world history. We also learn to read deeply in answering questions by referencing back to our text. The end of the year, we will hold our Culture Fair. Students have chosen their countries. A rubric will be coming home shortly. We will also work on the projects in class. Utah's Online Library is available to you for research: http://onlinelibrary.uen.org - username and password can be found on Edmodo.

Geography: Finishing Asia and completing Oceana.

Science - We will finish our STEM insulation project, then study light and sound. After that we will review Astronomy and microorganisms in preparation for the end year tests.
