Trust Lands Grant
Stansbury Park Elementary has been awarded $28,907 through the Trust Lands Grant. Millions acres of land are held in trust in Utah and are used to support schools. Revenue from the land is invested and the annual dividend goes to every school in the state.
The Community Council of each school determines how the Trust Lands Grant will be used in accordance with certain restrictions and requirements for the use of the money. Stansbury Park Elementary School's Community Council approved the Trust Land Grant for the 2011-2012 school-year. The teachers unanimously agreed.
The Community Council recommended that the grant continue to be used primarily to pay the salaries of support personnel. Those positions include two Literacy AmeriCorps aids, two Math AmeriCorps aids, out PE specialist, Computer specialist, Visual Arts specialist, an dour lunch playground supervisor.
We are very grateful for what these people provide for our students and believe that the quality of our instructional program has been deepened thanks to their contribution.
